The Bob Dylan 30th Anniversary Concert
Faithful readers will already know I was there.
Two of the Clancy brothers arrived in Greenwich Village in 1951.
When Bob Dylan got there ten years later, they acted as his older brothers.
Liam Clancy shared his philosophy with a young Bob:
No fear, No envy, No Meanness.
It’s the one I aspire to.
John Hammond signed the Clancy Brothers to Columbia Records in March, 1961, for the gigantic sum of $100,000.
Dylan was brought on to the label by Hammond seven mothers later.
